Good morning princesses! This week has been complicated, and with all the travel for work I haven’t had enough time to prepare the post that you deserve, but because I don’t want to miss our Friday date, today I bring you an outfit that I love.
The truth is that I normally don’t wear black. Most of my wardrobe is full of color, but I must admit that it is an essential color.
Black and elegance go hand in hand; in addition it makes us look thinner, although by no means it has to be the only color we wear.
We have to measure pretty well when, where and how we should wear it.
What is the best way to wear black?
Because is a color that we can’t resist, I am going to give you some guidelines and tricks for when you decide on dressing with a total black look , so you can wear it with elegance and personality.
1- Black wears down pretty easily, so you have to be careful, because any worn or faded patch is much more noticeable that with any other color. If you leave it soaking in water with vinegar, the color will be more vibrant and it will last longer.
2- Combine it with colorful complements, it can be a bag, a jacket, jewelry, the shoes (…)
3- If you play with the textures, like a satin blouse, some jeans and a suede or leather jacket, you make the look less boring.
4- Do not hesitate to pair it with gold or silver, they complement black beautifully. Do not be afraid to wear maxi necklaces of these precious metals.
5- The moment is important, black is a color made for the night instead of day, and more suitable for winter tan summer. If you want to wear it outside those occasions, pair it with vibrant colors to counteract the shades.
6- The makeup is strong point in a look. To help you not to look like a Gothic, some blush will give you a flushed look and add luminosity and softness to your face.
Simple outfit
Today’s outfit is pretty simple; the dress from ZARA Woman (I have seen it on sale, so I recommend you to buy it because it is wide and vaporous) and some ankle boots fringed with a small heel (pretty comfortable to wear) from Springfield.
The embroidery in the dress gives it some color, and the boots break the dark structure that the black gives.
It pairs amazingly with a jacket or a coat in military green or mustard, that way you will get a striking and appropriate outfit depending on the time of the day.
